Bob Post's Reading the Water is excellent and VERY hard to find
Striped Bass by Nick Karas is a good book not so much on fishing methods but on the fish themselves, biology, management, & scientific data.. A little dated as the last edition I have is from the 90's but I've heard that there is a new release now.
Pick up the OTW Surfcaster's guide to Rhode Island. Good book with a detailed look at several places. It has tips & info from Dave Pickering and Joe Lyons (Joe posts here from time to time and I can almost predict where DP will be fishing from time to time
