CLAMMER School

Well, I went to CLAMMER School today.

Upon arriving at the CLAMMER Estate (yup 4:50am) , I awoke Mr Clammer to find that he is running a dog kennel at his house.
One such "pint size dog" was making enough racket to wake up the whole neighborhood. Well, this was my first hand schooling in "Calmmer eeese".

Upon boarding to the U.S.S. CLAMMER, we went through the usual checklist of items.
2 rusty anchors: check
3 sets quahog tongs: check
1 rusty ax: Bluefish deterrent ; Check Check
Well you get the idea.

We departed the marina to face a rescue at sea. We went in harms way to rescue an abandoned vessel drifting across the sand bar at Oakland Beach. After much professional manuevering Capt. Clammer secured the abandoned vessel along side and proceeded to the nearest dock. Once the vessel was secured, we departed Warwick Cove at approximately 5:15am.

After many phone calls (to who I don't know and don't want to know) the pogeys magically appeared.
Well, it was time for CLAMMER fishing school. I wasn't snaggin' correctly. Well, it wasn't my boat so what could I say. He thought he knew it all. Well, upon following his calm directions I started snagging pogeys. Oh well !
All the time, I kept hearing "That SOB said he had pogeys in 5 minutes". Well I found out Clammer has a lot of friends named "SOB".

It was now time to find out about Clammers fishing skills.
It started with this F&^%$#%^&*() wind. Flat a.... all weekend, now look at it.

Well, spot 1.
we got chopped. That set the tone for that spot.
Yup, again. Look at this F&^%$#%^&*() wind. Flat a.... all weekend, now look at it.

On to spot 2
"That SOB said he had pogeys in 5 minutes".

On to spot 3
Yup, again. Look at this F&^%$#%^&*() wind. Flat a.... all weekend, now look at it.

Well you get the idea.

Well I finally landed the first bass. Not a good thing for the guest to do first.

We spent the next several hours until Captain Clammer hooked up on a bigger bass (naturally).

Well, all in all it was a great day on the water and I learned soooooooo much about a lot of things. Not sure I can ever repeat them, but hey it was great fun.

More phone calls

Thanks Clamman it was great.
