Knot Sure ?

Before this season I was tying braid to a snap using a palomar and it worked great. Why change a good thing right ? I got into some fish last year pretty good and found more than once reached for the braid bare handed and sliced my skin pretty good.I recently went to #^&#^&#^&#^&s grabbed a 300yd spool of Sufix performance braid 50# and 50yds of Ande Fluoro 40#.Figure if I get a hangup the fluoro will snap before the braid.I was testing different knots for joining line to leader. In my experiments I was using 50lb PP and the 40lb Fluoro.I found the PP braid breaking everytime before the fluoro. It seemed in my field test that Uni to Uni is a damn good knot.Held up better than most of the others I've tested.Still the PP breaks before the fluoro. The braid has never seen water it was removed from a reel that was overfilled by a tackle shop.I'm wondering if just a simple swivel connection would be better in general for using a leader .I may have a bad roll of PP on that spare spool. What setups do you guys use when atatching braid to fluoro ?What kind of knots are best for this ? I'm just bored so I'm tying knots and trying to tug the excersize bike around the room.
