Best Fluke Week
Ok I'm not a fluke guy, but happened into a couple nice ones last year and as luck would have it out of season. My brother-in-law was with me and he loved the variety of the deep jig bite, bass, blues, fluke and the yummy black sea bass. He has committed to spending a week with me this summer.
We'd like to see the same mixed bag, but he'd really like to put some fluke and black sea bass in his cooler. The week would be spent between Westport and the Vineyard. Not looking for spots, only what others might see as "prime time" based on tides, moon phases, just not sure if this is similar to Bass. I'm inclined to take August 1-10th off so I can be fishing the incoming in the morning and the turn early afternoon, on the 1st quarter moon, any bottom fishing guys want to chime in.
The other possible target might be tuna, can anyone suggest a good guide down that way that we might hit for a day and learn a thing or two. I'm personally looking to investigate speed jigging as a method, I'm not set up for trolling big spreads, nor do I want to; so I'd want to hook up with a guide that might specialize in that method or casting.
