The fish phone rings yesterday at 8:30am, its PhatMatt from the Saltwater Edge, I missed the call but he was nice enough to leave a message. Mike, it's a gong show out here, the mailman and I are out chasing Charlie and they are charged up and angry. We've got 3 foot rollers so it's a hell of a ride....Click.

I hear the message around 9:00 and call back. What's the word, Phatman? The mailman hooked up first cats and I had Charlie eat right at the boat. We lost both fish. This place is like a parking lot - guys are chasing other peoples wakes thinking it's fish - I gotta call you back, I'm jumping off the baot to go rip the drain plug out of this guys boat....Click. I think to myself....Ahhh Boat traffic on July 4th.

I fire up the paint booth and paint up a few hundred Sea Pups and other assorted plugs. I know those two are into fish and start to wonder if I can convince Pete to run the Regulator from Newport 150 in the other direction to chase Charlie. Ok, enough painting. It's been an hour and a half and either the Phatman sunk his yacht or those guys are bringing the pain to Charlie and friends.

I call the Phatman himself and after a few dropped connections I can tell it's complete chaos on the boat. Mike, The mailman and I are both hooked up right now and I can't talk. I hear the phone drop to the deck and two guys laughing like school girls in the background.

The next call is about an hour later. Mike, Charlie is in the building! The mailman took a beating but won the battle. Stopping for an official weight and then to the shop for some pictures.

Great Job MailMan! 103lbs dressed on the Sea Pup. We've lost count on the number of Tuna landed this year on the Sea Pup, at last count it was over 20.
