I saw him a few times in the 70's-early 80's and his shows were great.
One place was in CT and I think it was called Shaboo's? Anybody remember this place. Senior moments
Very talented
I remember the Shaboo! At least what I remember.....
Seriously,it was a great club.Saw many great acts there.Regulars were Taj Mahal,Muddy Waters,James Cotton,Pousette Dart,Rick Derringer,Winter Brothers,Roomfull of Blues,NRBQ,to name a few.
Derringer loved it so much,he moved to Ct,not far from the club and still lives here.
The Shaboo was owned by David "Lefty"Foster. It burned down some years ago.Lefty went on to form the "Shaboo All Stars" You never knew who would play with the "All Stars" from gig to gig.Lefty eventually accepted an offer from the Mohegan Tribe and the band has become "The Mohegan Sun All Stars",the casino's house band. Some may think this is a "sellout".I don't care, they still kick ass!!
