What are the Chances.....

Last Saturday we were getting gear ready for a campout w/ a bunch of the Dads and Scouts. i had to run home for a minute to grab something and on my way back I see the blue lights and noticed that a car had just struck and killed a deer.

So I grab one of the Dads that was helping us, Because i know he hunts, and he takes my truck and Goes back to get the deer. we figure that should feed the troop for awhile

Later on I bring the deer to his house and he dresses the deer and while he's cutting it up he finds a piece of an arrow that was healed over in the deer. Turns out that the arrow was from his Son, one of our eagle scouts, who shot it back in October but only caught it in the neck and it took off into the woods.

Pretty amazing that he ends up with the same deer 4 months later.

Needless to say, it looks like there will be a few Venison stews in the Troops Future
