Tying Dressed tailhooks

I tied up several tailhooks last night on VMC9171 4/0s, 5/0s, and 6/0s

This was my first time tying as opposed to buying and I used Danville (red) nylon stretch thread since I saw it at the Fly store in West Concord. I applied about 3-4 coats of Head cement with about 10 minutes between coats.

Do you recommmend anything on top of the head cement to make them stand up to the rigors of SW and fish mouths?

here is a pic of my 1st batch. I just held the hooks in my hand (no vise) and hand wrapped without a bobbin tool. Seems pretty easy just getting a clean cut of the front portion of the syn material and a nice tight wrap with most of the strands laying in the top section of the hook shank.

Any more pieces of advice as I get down this learning curve?
