Dropped Badger start problem solved

Started packing up the compressor in the original box it came in this morning, but I thought I'd clean it up first. Thier was paint on the cord that I wanted to clean off, so I wet a paper towel with a little acetone and when I was wiping the paint off about 18 inches from the plug I came across a razor thin slice into the rubbber cord. Whatever it was that made the cut made it really thin. And whatever cut the rubber cut the white wire inside the cord. I cut it all the way open and soldered the wire back together and voila, it works again. My first wonderbread plug is again almost done. Thanks for the advice everyone.
