Move or Stay put at the Canal

Last Thursday night I fished from about 7:30 - 11:30 and after being frustrated for a while finally figured out something in my bag that would get strikes. My question is most of the fish were small 25-27 inches roughly with 2 that were probably low 30 inch range. I had a steady pick but was unsure if I should just wait the tide out to see if bigger fish would move in or switch spots. I am not in any way an expert there and was looking for advice.

Since the fishing is so current dependent would you wait out the spot for bigger fish to find the bait or move? For extra info I was fishing the east end.

BTW I saw the tuna come in an cause a racket and then seemingly vanish - very cool...
