I was oiling the hinges of my trust old swiss army knife, and I forgot that I had opened up the smaller of the two knife blades.
As I proceeded to oil the scissors and pliers, they sprung into the locked "open" position, causing the body of the knife and the small blade to jump forward. The smaller blade, not bing the one I use, was still "factory sharp" and proceeded to slice though the meat of my middle finger.
Bottom line: 6 stitches and 2 weeks of NO Fishing.
What kills me was that I was prepping the knife so I could head out for some afternoon/evening kayak fishing. Now I have to wait a couple of weeks. Fortunately, I missed doing any damage to the nerves & tendons.
Now I have to live this down at the next family get together.
