My introduction to Cape surfcasting came on that beach in late August of 2001 or 2002. I was visiting from Philadelphia, and within 2 casts with eels after sundown, my old man had a 40 on the sand. One of 3 fish a few pounds either side of that mark he had that night. I fished a bomber/red gill and had 15- to 30-pounders every other cast. Visited every summer up to 2006, and every year the ratio of bass to seals seemed to swing a little more in favor of the seals.

Since moving to the Cape, I've yet to go there though. Maybe worth a look this week. There's no way all the cows are gone from up that way.
