A new year

As I drive around the south shore these days, I cant help to catch myself looking out into the bays and rivers that for many months lay doormat and inactive. Now as we are into May, the same water is getting warmer each day, and our southern guests are starting to arrive. Perhaps my imagination is getting the best of me, but I now look differently at ripples, and dark shadows in the water. My mind instantly starts to go into predator mode. Is that a school of Pogies? Busting stripers or blues? If I drive down Wallaston beach I look out past the eye candy into Quincy bay hoping to see birds diving and water boiling. It wont be long I say to myself. I hope everyone here has a safe season. Remember your goals you set for yourself over the winter. I hope to meet up with more of you this season. It wont be long now!

thats why they call it fishing not catching
