I was on the early side (5:15) and kayaked over to the mouth of big inlet and landed on the outer beach at the point.... the tide was racing out so no love there.. I went back past the Oregon beach launch and trolled for blues to the left of the put-in... ended up catching six 7-9 lb blues and kept 2 .... they loved my herring colored eelie repro... plenty of battle scars on that sweet plug


The new BIG Hobie rudder and turbo fins were awesome in all that wind and chop...plus the water must be 60 already... the wind dropped down to 10-15 after about 8AM so it was very comfortable.. esp when I found the blues
