Smile Maine Stripers

We started off the bait season at 3am with a bang. We fished rubber baits for the first couple of hours and boated 6 fish before the sun rose. Noteable catches 2 fish 36in + with several long line releases on larger fish up to 40".
Bait was hard to come by as water temps have crept near 80 degrees in the river. With what little bait we found, we did very well with. Drfiting the channel on the outgoing, we landed 13 fish before we ran out of bait. Noteable catches include 1-41", 3-36"+, and the rest under 32". Overall, not a bad morning.
