reel cleaning

bought an abu at a yard sale sat. all bound up with salt, old grease etc. nothing moved. sprayed some wd so i could loosen the screws. took the abu apart. loaded with old salt.
dropped in my simply green. not enough to cover the reel. no more in house.
eurika, put a polident tablet in the bowl. added very hot water to cover the reel. after 30 sec. curosity got the best of me. lifted out the reel with tongs. i would like to tell you that every bit of salt was gone. needed a stiff artist brush to get the corners, but this reel was perfectly clean in less than a minute.
i did this outdoors as i don't have any idea if the fumes will kill you or not. i mean simply amazing.

put them back alive. i do have grandkids.
