kenny Registered User Join Date: Jun 2002 Location: abington,ma. Posts: 73	John It is a fairly common problem. The fix is to replace the stem another fix is to remove the stem blast w/wd 40 or boil it in vinagar then shake it back and forth till you hear the balance valve move. Either way shut off water supply,turn handle to the middle ,remove handle,loosen and remove nut and pull out stem hope this helps
