Kevin, I think that measurement is right on the butt. I think it has a standard CMS layout which has an ample butt section but you might like the longer. I'll look the rod over again but I think it's in good shape. I wet suited with it so it's not necessarily like new but i think the blank integrity and the guides are fine.
