Skin Plugs "How too".........

Skin plugs work fantastic,They will outfish an ordinary danny swimmer 10 to 1.

Not all plugs make good skin plugs. The best plug to use for this purpose is a atom, junior atom swimmer.

First remove the hooks from the plug.Next roll the eelskin onto the lug until it reaches the head of the plug.Be carefull, you only want about an inch or inch and a half hanging off the back of the plug or it wont swim right.Once the skin is up at the head of the plug, tie it down with dental floss.Turn the plug over and slice the skin just a smidge where the hooks will go,pull out the swivell and re-attach your hooks.

Fishing the plug: Cast out over rocks or structure and retriev the plug very slow back towards you,Just enough speed to get the plug to come thru the water looking like a lazy rolling windshield wiper!! Thats the action the bass just cant resist! These plugs work wonders day or night!! and Im telling you they are magic!!

Skins; You can get the skins at some tackle stores.I know red top has them. For lack of a better word here, they look like a condom and, you roll the skin up onto the plug. You can skin eels yourself but, its a pain and they are very cheap to buy.

Storage,Store the skins in Kosher salt and use alot of it.Once you have your plug made, store it in a ziplock bag and put the kosher salt in the bag, place the bag in the refridgerator when the plug is not in use. They will last forever this way just dont let them dry out!! Carry them to your fishing spot in the bag and put them back when done fishing.

These plugs which are the ultimate "sharpie" bass catcher really do work wonders,That little wiggle imparted by the skin hanging off the back of the plug is just awesome!!

Make sure the plug swims on the surface of the water,if it doesnt, bent the eye of the plug down until it does.

These plugs work fantastic trolled from a boat at very low speeds,Try it.

Other plugs that are good for skinning are neddlefish and capt andy plugs were good but you c ant get then anymore. The atom junior is the bast..Hope this helps!!
