I lost a GLoomis while getting my GF rigged up for bottom fishing for scup while on vacation. I went back with fins and snorkel the next day at low tide and still couldn't get down deep enough to see bottom. Had that rod for 10 years. My father bought it for me as well as one for himself. Talk about feeling stupid. As good as it is, I don't think GLoomis' warranty covers that sort of thing
