WHile I do bleach my boat when the boat is out of the water...you really should not use that while it is in the water. A cup of bleach in the water is really bad news for your harbor and waterways. You would be better emptying your trash in the water! Bleach kills everything even diluted. BTW I know there is no inforcement but I think the fine is something like 30K for putting even a cup of bleach in the water.

go stainless above and bronze below. The first thing I did on my boat is replace all those crappy plastic thru hulls. No thru hull should be plastic, not even above the waterline and ESP at, near or below. Btw when you go to replace them...I be some break off in your hands. The UV will get to them and they WILL fail, make no mistake.
