New to the Cape
Hello--My wife and I just moved to the Cape in January and I just found StriperTalk. We've lived in PA the last 30 years, but we're not from there and we wanted a change, and wanted to be closer to the coast. I lived in Mass as a kid--Dover--and the first baseball game I ever saw was at Fenway in '67 and Yaz hit a homer, so I have been a genuine Sox fan my whole life (and now I have NESN!) I've fished around the Vineyard a lot with friends the last dozen years, but am new to the Cape. I'm looking forward to doing a lot of surf and fly fishing now and may even get a kayak or a small cc boat Thanks for reading--Chris

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

Welcome to the site ChrisG,
My first Sox game was also at Fenway in 1967. On bat day. My brother and I both got Rico Petrocelli bats. Unfortunately, the Sox got shut out 1-0 by a young pitcher for the Kansas City Athletics by the name of Jim "Catfish" Hunter, but I don't remember who pitched for the Sox. Joe Rudi hit a solo homer for the A's for the only run. I even remember eating peanuts that day.
