I saw the story, and it still has me thinking "If this guy was a "kidnapper" in the truest sense of the word, why did he allow her to write home? Why did he set her free and never did the "ransom request" thing?

When they talked about the guys criminal past, nothing stood out as "Hey, this guy might be likely to do this".

Although this smells of conspiracy, and I hate to dwell on those scenarios, I still feel there is something missing, some piece of information that will make it all make sense, some fact that will make you understand how she ended up with him for as long as she did?

The only other thing I can thinl of was that this was truly his first time delving into this level of criminal activity. Unfortunately in this country it won't be his last. Let's see how much time he does before he's back "on the prowl"!!!
