This isn't about catching one fish...it is about keeping one fish.

Bottom line is this. Going out on a striper charter isn't the same as a Stellwagen meatfest cod/haddock charter...when you could do that......There aren't as many people that want to put 30 pounds of bass fillets on the freezer compared to ground fish. That being said many people want to go on a bass charter and catch a boat load of fish and have fun.....and maybe keep one or two or whatever they choose. No one stops fishing when they catch thier keep limit, they continue to fish, catch and release because it is fun..............

Keeping the Charter boat limit at the same regs as the average Joe is not going to affect bass charters too much......Cod and Haddock is another story.
