Yes chest compressions are good enough. but keep in mind that if true medical support is more than 5 minutes out, you need to do rescue breathing also.

Recruit help too if there are others around, doing the compressions gets very tiring, very fast.

I get certified for CPR-Chokesave about every other year.

Got the full monty with defib training back in 2011, as well.

Even took the infant class at one point.

I took over compressions once at a restaurant. Everybody should take the class at least once. You just never know.

Good buddy up in NH dropped while shopping with wife! Two store employees came to rescue, he was a goner, they had been trained thru the store, Defibrillator and all. They got him back and a week later got a triple bypass, now chasing wife around the house... LOL
