1 - does this happen on all videos on line?
2 - have you tried a DVD or CD with a video on it?
once you answer these few simple questions we can get you going from there, the likely hood of a Vid Card driver is less the .00001%
Chances are its a bad update or something in the browser you are using causing the issue.
Some thing to try

Flash is free, if you are getting a message to.buy maybe a spoof of. A bad update. I would suggest un installing and reinstalling it.from thier website.
