Yeah, the fishing was poor. I guess it was tuesday night when I was having a really hard time sleeping and I went out for a walk. It was maybe 1 or 2 in the morning so the Marina guard kicked me out. Only fishermen and boaters are allowed. I went back with my rod. Had a big blue bite a 9 inch sluggo in half and then had a striper on a teaser but both let go.
Mindi is going to be one heck of a fisherwoman. She had a little trouble getting used to a 6'6" rod but at the end of the week she was doing quite well. She told me that she felt bad that she's a beginner but she started whipping out cooking terms and it made me feel incredibly stupid.
She even put up with the mosquitoes, little kids, rats, and all the little annoying things. It was a great trip I think.
