West of the Cape...

Wind did not have as much of a negative effect as I thought it would. In fact, it cleared out most of the fishers and the motorboats on Monday and was a definite attribute if you were able to position yourself correctly on the rocks. The fish were still in close. So close in fact, that if you cast 30 feet out that was too far for most of them that came up.

Managed 3, should have been 5. DB acquaintance of mine managed 7 out of 8. 80% certain that one of the ones I lost was a Bonito. Every fish of mine hit within 15 feet of the rocks. Some nice 30-40 inch bass around as well. Didn't care all that much and probably won't until the funny ones disappear. Bass were following the larger 8-10 inch pogies while the green fish cut through the the 3-5" peanuts.
