Green painters tape around the chuck and the blank. The jaws of the chuck have a tendency to open up. |

Yeah, it's fun to come in the next morning to find the chuck spinning with out a rod in it. |

Ditto, I been using heavy rubber bands. For HD chuck, it sucks for holding rod. Most of the time I use the wrapper to apply the epoxy then transfer to dedicated slow spiiner. |

I have a dryer as well but generally too lazy to move it over.
Tape makes everything better. |
