Great story in the same vein.
94 and we are running the Back with a bunch of guys from Thundermist Striper Club. We are at Peaked Hill Bar about 2 in the AM and here comes this kid in a Tacoma towing a tin boat. So Lanny tells numb nuts that the beach is washed out right up to the dunes before you can get to High Head. Kid says FU and off he goes.

About 20 minutes later here comes the tin boat drifting down the shore with no one in it. Found the kid, when it got light, with the Tacoma buried to the windshield with the waves crashing over the roof.

No boat, back in the suds.

Sweet story..some people just don't get it...at least the kid was in a real truck...still got to love seeing a "street toy" encased in ice...I curse every time one of those yuppy wanna be trucks cuts me off because they missed college classes that day when the explained the meaning of yield.

We watch idiots getting their rigs towed out of the dirt ramp off white horse beach all summer long, they don't air down, bury the wheels and then the tide beats the tow truck.

Looks like an X5. I don't own one, but they are a pretty good off road vehicle. I don't get car bias. Also, you live in mass. I lived there also and is the natives who are terrible drivers. Inherent in the nickname I think FWIW, the Tacoma wasn't made until 1995, they were all just a Toyota pickup back then.

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

I didn't know that! I just knew it was a smaller Toyota and assumed Tacoma.

It really was a Tacoma, it just wasn't called that yet. I was just poking at the real truck comment. The t100 was out for a few years and when they redesigned the small truck, they called it Tacoma.
