I just got the silver label lace up boot foots and love them. You get the best of both worlds because you dont have to worry about the sand getting in, and the built in lace-ups make them real comfortable and offer much more stability than just regualr bootfoot. The stocking foot ones can really bother your feet depending on where the seams are and sand always finds a way into them.

I think it is also worth the trip to go try them on. The whole clearwater/silverlabel series is being discontinued so if you look around you could find a good deal. A freind of mine just picked up some clearwater bootfoots in Avon, Ct for 60% off.
