That is the funniest statement I have read today. Reagon would never be elected w/today's Repbu party.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, compared to Pelosi and Schumer? And Trump is barely a conservative.

We have our zealots in the GOP, they don't run the party.

Look at who the nominees are on the democratic side right now, all trying to out-left each other.

Maybe it was a funny statement. For damn sure it's true.

Look at the number of people in the freedom caucus versus the number of socialist. I would agree with you if some of the things that those few socialists are proposing get passed into law.

Does the freedom caucus run the GOP? Or are Trump and McConnell the party leaders?

Neither Pelosi nor Schumer are socialists. Neither is Liz Warren. But all are hard core liberals, and all are very, very influential.

Hard to pass laws when you're in the minority.

Please tell me, who you think are the 3-5 most influential democrats, and who are the 3-5 most influential Republicans. Given that all the democrat declares have signed onto the green new deal, you almost have to put ACO on the list of 5 most influential.

The most influential republicans right now, are Trump, McConnell, Sen Graham, Rep McCarthy. I guess McCarthy is pretty conservative.

Compare them to Pelosi, Schumer, the ones running (Warren, Harris, Booker, Sanders), Cortez...where are the moderates? Is Liz Warren a moderate now?
