Look around Jim, this administrations piss pour handling on the health crisis has thrust this nation into a deep depression, but keep defending him. I only heard pieces of Biden’s speech on local news and I’d agree with him on what I heard, that Trump is fanning the flames of division and he has no clue how to fix it. Its just politics now for him, the more unrest the more he likes it for his new platform. A true leader would be looking for a way to help calm this nation down, not DJT because his new platform of the Law and Order president, requires more civil unrest to him him win. Jim you can’t see the forest through the trees.

look around GS, the one meaningful thing trump did early on was restrict travel from china, a move panned by democrats as an overreaction. Biden called it hysterical and xenophobic. meaning, they would have done less. but let’s not let facts get in the way of a good foaming-at-the-mouth rant.

you also didn’t answer the question i asked.

You are funny spouting the Trump narrative, let’s call it what it was Jim, it was a partial ban which only caught a very small percentage of the cases coming our way. It was what transpired since the initial cases that really was irresponsible. I couldn’t care less who said what at the time, were they briefed daily, were they in touch with the WHO daily, did they have all the intel. If your going to spout the Trump narrative, be honest you too take responsibility for nothing.

"let’s call it what it was Jim"

I did call it what it was. Restricted travel from China. Read my post.

"I couldn’t care less who what democrats said what at the time"

Fixed it for you.

Why did the governors of CA and NY say that Trump did a great job supporting them? Are they in his camp?

On this issue, I struggle with blaming who for what. I don't know enough. The scientists agree on nothing. And all the politicians are saying only what current polling tells them to say.

Absurd to say I'm a Trump apologist. Im unbiased on Trump. I criticize him when he deserves it, and praise him when he deserves it.

Bob look around yourself, the pandemic response is controlled at a state level. Your governors have done a piss poor job. Only need to look at NYS and see that the head #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& in charge , needlessly killed more people by sending cover positive patients to. be quarantined in Nursing homes

Some of this is on Trump, some is on the governors, obviously. They don't see that, TDS prevents them from seeing it.

This is absurd, the Federal government controls the CDC who's guidance advises policy, the FDA which oversees safety among other things and the legal means to use the private sector to accelerate production of critical supplies. The Fed response was half baked at best. Hey, let's put people with no experience in charge, Jarred, you lead the testing strategy...sad trombone horn.

Now we're seeing a brazen politicization of the CDC and FDA in an attempt to influence the election. If we have no faith in science and the medical profession it will be impossible to coordinate an effective response to this pandemic.

So why didn't all 50 governors force covid-positive patients into nursing homes?

Your clueless Covid 19 ravaged nursing homes overwhelming intoduced by staff,
Not the small fraction of patients returned from the hospital

How do you think covid 19 showed prisons ?

My wife's nursing home has a covid 19 floor this mantra its dems fault is :rotflmao

All 50 states have covid in their nursing. Look at Idaho and all the other red states who looked at saw how it was in NY NJ Ma and other states .. by the time it showed most of the resident's were wearing masks and understand stood the need for social distancing... it had nothing to do with Republicans leadership

Never said that other states had no issues with nursing homes. But not all states did what Cuomo did, and NY has one of the highest death rates. Maybe there's a connection there.

I'm clueless, and you're not. If you say so.

And didn't the CDC's mission statement on their website say something like they were there to backstop the states. When Trump claimed otherwise they changed the website.

This is a sincere question, not a gotcha question...why didn't all 50 governors do what Cuomo did, and force covid-positive patients into nursing homes?

Is there anything to be learned by looking at which states have the highest death rates, and which have the lowest? Maybe not as we can pretty much move freely. Or is all that matters, finding a way to blame Trump?

Remember this was in March when people were still trying to figure out what was going on. NY was following the CDC guidance at the time and just got whacked for it because the state had the first big flare up. Your CNN article mentions about a dozen other states did the same thing. Why not all 50? Hell, many states led by Trump sycophants don't even want to require masks.

My college town Ames, Iowa right now has the worst Covid rate in the country and Iowa State is still planning on playing football at 1/2 capacity. The Gov has been terrible.
