The cops in my town, Belmont, let every Trumpaloompa with a bumper sticker park in bus stops, the middle of the road, or whatever they are trying to do parking in the middle of the road.

I really think the police have let things lapse. Fluorescent shirts matter, I guess.

I have lost all respect for my local police.

Sorry, Jim...I was talking about the Day Glo Committee with their rusted out one ton, filled with landscaping crap, double-parked in a bus stop, with a Trump 2020 sticker, and one of Belmont’s finest talking and joking with them, while a bus was trying to make a stop.

You can be damned well sure that if it was me, in my monster truck, with my Trump for Prison 2020 sticker on the back, I would have not gotten the same reception as Cletus the Slack-Jawed yokel.

And yes, the cops in my town have nothing really to do with their time, aside from keeping traffic moving.

I can’t really imagine a Belmont cop running anywhere...this is the richest town in Massachusetts. We have professional intervention teams that the cops call when there’s a problem.

So, yeah, I think they could work a little harder...
