Definitely Real! Family activity, we all pile in the truck and hit some tree farm as far out in the middle of nowhere as I can find. They pick it out and I use the dull bent saw the tree farm provides to cut it down. I get covered in mud, snow and needles cutting it down and when we get home we always find out we bought one taller than the cieling so then there's the trimming off the bottom, hands frozen and covered in pitch, three voices saying over and over, "Daddy (or Honey) when are you going to bring it inside?" Then once inside there's always the discussion about recipes for putting aspirin in the water so it lasts longer, then making me redo the lights five or six times before my womenfolk take over decorating. Sound like a pain in the neck? After all that I sit and have a beer and watch thempicking out ornaments and singing and carrying on and I wouldn't have it any other way.
