Yes it's for a spinning rod.
I've stopped using my Penn SBG-6810 from performing it's heavy tasks.. $ for $ if they still made the penn spinfisher the same way.. i wouldn't be asking about lami blanks.
It's an original model .. too bad Penn doesn't make'em like this anymore.. although from $215.99 to $71.99 and an extra letter in the model# kinda tells ya something is up..

I was thinking alconites but.. i dont know if i want to start with 60mm guide. If i started with a 60 mm i might just try a different co. like PB or American Tackle.
