I have to agree...I'm a firm believer that a system should be nuked of its operating system every 12-18 months. the constant loading and unloading of apps and web pages leaves tons of rogue .Dll's and files all over the place that just start crazy errors.
Backup your Docs, your favorites folder and anything else you might want and run the restore
if your processor is above 400 Mhz I'd also consider upgrading to Win 2k....I'm not a big fan of 98 either.......its just 95 w/ upgraded bugs. and it looks like you have plenty of memory
