several surfster type plugs i made last fall hold quite well in fast current, they swim about 3-5 feet down. could get them to pop out even if i tried. i tested them in an inlet on LI thC:\Documents and Settings\Dad\My Documents\My Pictures\lure\lure3.jpge black one and the blue one both swim sub surface
