oh, real nice! now we see what kind of a man you are. have you ever heard of preserving a species? it is people with attitudes like yours that ruin a fishery.
all fish of trophy size are females. the fastest way to descimate a species is to cull out the females, as they are the regulating factor in population growth or decline. only one male is needed to imprenate many females. each female bass has the capacity to produce millions of offspring. the bigger the fish, the more expendable energy she has for producing more eggs.
also, a trophy fish's flesh tastes like a**! give me a five pound striper to eat over a fifty, anyday! this a reason why slot limits work. true slot limits, though. not like those that we have in some of the northern states, but ones that put a stop to all fish except for a small "slot" of sized fish. theses fish are more easily replaced as it takes much less time to raise a 20" bass than it does a 50" bass!
as far as learning something, i am not here to debate that. i have no gripe with your ability as others might. i just don't agree with someone in a position such as yours advocating what you have in the above quote.
