The super braids are wicked THIN. You will need to put on some dacron backing (use same poundage or heavier than your braid).
I would leave about 3/8" to 1/2" from where you want the line to be full and then tie on the braid w/ an albreight, or uni-uni knots.

The 209 winds the braids on fine. I set up a 209 and 309 with it last year. Hardest part is getting the line on your spool SUPER TIGHT (so tight you can barely see a mark left from a thumb nail pressed into it. If you can see your mark, it not on tight enough).

I picked up a line winder from Sport Authority for around $30 - it holds big and small spools and it has a tensioned rolling tension device that pressed on the lip of the spool. I think it is made my "Art of Fishing" or some funny name like that (had a pic of a roman person with a discus on the side of it as a logo...lol). I use a cloth towel, or piece of leather in between my fingers to add EXTRA tension when I wind on the line (helps remove some of that waxy coating as well that is on PowerPro).

Where did ya find a spool of that stuff so CHEAP?!
