How about this: At a popular S. County run, a guy had a net with a tomato basket wired inside it so it would stay open. His friend would walk downstream and then herd the herring up the stream into his turned-around net. This tactic produced about a dozen fish per pull.

My son-in-law was there and told them that those fish probably hadn't spawned yet.

They told him to f*** off.
