I appreciate all points of view, it's those who isolate themselves and only listen to one side or the other are the most ignorant.
I personally don't believe what we did was a waste, the International case against Saddam needed to be closed. My beef is with the way this war was planned, prosecuted and followed up. I do completely believe that the single minded focus to invade Iraq on our terms alone has cost us much more than it should have. I don't need a crystal ball, the mistakes are obvious. We have the greatist military in the world, but tactical brilliance on the battlefield is lost if the strategic plans are not sound.
Joe Biden had several great lines in his speech tonight that are painfully true. Like "you're only leading, when others follow".
