I love night fishing in the kayak....

Then again, I have (almost) all the stuff I need and then some...

Fishfinder (Not necesarry, but convenient), GPS, Compass, VHF radio, lights and I still have to invest in some flares. I have spare batteries and a couple of flash lights with me.

We had a trip a couple of weeks ago where we were fishing between Ram! and fisher island when the fog came in so thick we could see 50 feet. I used the GPS to get back to the launch area. At one time we were talking while paddling and when I looked down at the GPS we were heading back in the direction we came from.

Paddling with one eye on the compass while paddling back in I got the comment from one of the other paddlers, "We are turning right". I guess without the GPS/compass we would have paddled in circles while the tide pulled us out past fisher.
