Man, you guys have got this thread smokin'!

Bloo, next time I'm in NB I'll check out the restaurant - sounds good. Hey, if the place is really good, they'll have morcella on da menu!

GB - never made it to Woosta, heard from DZ and Iron Mike I didn't miss much, so I decided not to go solo on Sunday and just kicked backed for Super Bowl. Iron Mike did bring me a nice eel-skin jig head from a company out of NJ.

I did go to the Saltwater Edge Fly Tying Fair here in Newport yesterday - I'm not a fly guy yet but I'm gonna give it a shot this season. It was pretty good, interesting to see what some of the tiers are able to create - saw some squid flies that looked so real I got hungry for calamari.

Not like the long wand is gonna take the place of eels and plugs for me, but figured it'll give me something new to do in the early spring before the LARGE show.

Plus, there are some Places to the East that I wanna explore come Spring, right on our border with the Sand People.

GB - I'm just starting to feel right again after 2 weeks with the crud, and still not 100% - if ya ain't been yet, get yourself some potent antibiotics - hope you're feelin' better soon.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
