somethings going on here! all the ny fans i know are saying that the sox are going to go all the way... some kind of reverse mumbo jumbo... 28", BW both saying good things about sox... i don't know, but methinks something's rotten in denmark!

Its reverse psychology Afterhours.....they are trying to lull unsuspecting and gullable Sox fans, like yourself  , into thinking that your team may actually not only have a chance at the wild card spot but quite possibly also a shot at winning the division!  Of course, as you know, not all of us are that easily convinced....  sure the Sox are making a hard sell....but this guy ain't buyin' in!  They always seem to run out of "magic" pixie dust at the very moment they get to crunch time!  Its gonna be an interesting 30+ games to say the least....I will sit back and take it all in, but I am not jumping on board at any point.....however I will be available later on to comfort all those who get burned! |

Hey, this year is different. Our starting pitching was suspect/lousy from the start, and then Brown breaks his hand. Plus we've had too many come-from-behind wins. Still no lefty in the 'pen. A-Rod's hot and cold. And you guys are on a streak that won't end any time soon. You'll probably go 18-2 again to finish the season.This is the year for you guys. I can feel it, and I'm happy for ya. And in October I'll be freezin' my arse off in the surf while you guys are nice and warm glued to your tv watching the Series. PLUS, that kid who lived in Babe's old house got hit in...never mind, there's no curse, so that kid is irrelevant. You guys have made me a believer in the Sox this year. After we get eliminated, I'll wear a Boston hat until the World Series is over.
How do you guys match up with the Cardinals?

No matter what happens 28....I will be freezin' my arse off in the surf also! I would rather go large than watch the Sox in the Playoffs any day!  Last year, when Grady Little turned from the mound and headed back to the dugout leaving Pedro in the game....I got up and headed out to fish and caught my biggest of the season all while the Sox where LOSING TO THE YANKEES AGAIN!  Sorry....I lost my head, just for a minute there! |

have'nt really watched the cards too much, but i know they're a heck of a team. gotta go thru the twins, ny, angels, and the a's to get there. no easy task.

The A.L.'s going to be a cakewalk for you guys. That's a given at this point. I'm just trying to figure out who you match up best with in the NL.
BF- my biggest striper and blue last year was the Boone homerun game. Cold as a mofo on L.I. that night. Got home just in time to see it. I was happy, but I felt bad for you guys,too.

I was as happy as pig in s*%t.....caught my biggest of the year...29 pounds 8 oz. and I knew they were gonna lose so I was smart enough not to miss the tide I had planned for! Playoffs, World Series, Game 7....no matter.....my feet will be wet! Thats what SportsCenter is for....yes? |

I was watching game 7 down in Ft Lauderdale last October while I was down for the Pats game. I was all set to go to game 3 of the world series and..well lets just say this is the year..

Nope! All I am saying is, I have seen this movie before and I know how it ends! I also never equate a great pastime like fishing with baseball......they do not compare....and as far as my fishing season goes, they are all good! My season does not hinge on one moment, it hinges on many! Don't try to tell me that the same goes for how the Sox season whether they win it all or not.....that most definately does not compare! Goose, how old are you by the way?
