Spotty from the beach, fish were stacked up 1.5 mi off the beach and would not come in....got in the boat and got them but fishing from the surf has been weak IMO. Yeah, a couple of nice fishhere and there but for the number of hooks in the water there should be a lot more then that!
I think the body of fish that were offshore are moving too. They were just sitting for days there but they appear to have moved now.
Franky, so far this is my worst surf fishing fall in my memory. Hope it picks up. Yes I am getting a few fish but they don't seem to be feeding hard.
I hate to see lobsters in their gut...wish we had big pogies around. The boat fish I have kept while all looking healthy and had large guts but when opened....were empty.
Frankly I think they ate my eel because it annoyed them.
