I do it low tech. Bend the wire around a screwdriver clamped to the bench and then squeeze with a pair of crimpers made for putting ends on wire, they have a rounded shape where you squeeze the crimps. I do my end loops with some of the same hi-tech equipment. Of course if I made 100 plugs a year that would be a lot. There is a world of difference between onesies and production runs. I would guess you could have it done for less than the tooling in a production setting. If your goal is to make money you are better off puttin well bought parts together than investing in equipment. Just my 2 cents from other wood product deals.
