It makes me sick when I see the bait packages/line/beer bottles in or around the water. I have been picking up trash at state ramps/public access points for far too long. If I see a bottle/trash bag floating while in my boat I stop and pick it up.

I was in Jackman Maine several years ago and rented a canoe to explore a beautiful lake. There were no signs of man beyond the boat ramp. No bottles, fishing line or bait containers anywhere. It was a great feeling. There are a few stretches of beach on Nantucket that are nearly trash free.

Do you remember the commercial w/ the Indian at the side of the lake with a tear in his eye and trash at his feet? I feel the same way as he must have felt.

lets clean up our earth, its the only one we have.
