how do i do the wire on a jointed and not have so much WIRE showing in the joint?????

can i double up the wire and spin it in a drill somehow? to suck it up into the arse of the nose piece?
i tried hollowing out the tail and hiding the joint in there, but it takes away from the wiggle.
any secrets?

on your front section, drill your wire hole large enough at the back end to allow the wire with a pre-made loop to slide all the way down from the joint side, slip in a swivil, pull the wire out of the nose a bunch, make a loop on that end and thn stuff it back inside so the loop on the jointed side is just sticking out. Then fill the hole up with epoxy. when you wire the tail, its business as usuall.

I never made a jointed before .. just asking .. what if you made the hole in the front end of the arse bigger and pulled the wire loops in there from the back .. easier ?.

I make the normal nose loop on one end and then I stick the wire through the lip and get it situated, then I feed the wire through the plug and mark the wire about 3/8 of an inch outside of the hole. I then remove the wire, bend the wire back on itself and crush the bend almost flat. I make sure I can feed the bent wire through the end of the swivel and then I thread it through the plug and swivel. Next I drive a nail or an awl through the bend in the wire to open it up, I work it open until it is snug in the hole, then I fill it with epoxy. Works very well. Thanks Capesams

You can also countersink the wire on the tail section. Drill the hole as usual, then use a larger bit. Allows the loop to slip into the tail section a little. I use this on my jointed swimmers. Note that a little wire showing may not be a bad thing. If you get the wires to close, the tail section can't do its wiggly thing as well
