78, I measured 42" in my backyard in Pawtucket.
Street was buried for a week. Sitting in my living room, I was looking out at the ankles of people walking down the street on top of the packed snow. Most idiotic thing I did---dug out the hydrant in front of the house---no fire truck could have made it down the street until they dug it out.
And they did dig it out, with front end loaders---there was just too much to plow.

I've always wondered why everyone has to get milk and bread....
If I am stranded in a storm for days I would rather subsist on Cheez-its, beef jerky, and Diet Coke...

It's already nuts here in Hull...Bare Pavement tween my place and next door....36" at each end of driveway...drifting and blowing like mad
So what am I doing...Getting ready to go out in a while...yes, I have to go to Hyd Park and be Snow Patrol for a Historic church that is a client of mine....I told them I would clear every 6" but was heading back to Hull at 9am...then back to work after the game....yippee
oh yeah, and my Jimmy has a problem so I am driving the Toyota RAV 4

Dave,
I agree with this weather!! I spent last weekend in the Keys for the first time ever. It was cloudy, rainy, chilly (mid 60s) and windy (30mph).......I really thought it was terrrible.....then we flew home on Tluesday and the pilot told us it was 9 degrees at Logan......and look what's happening now..........maybe 60 degree weather in the Keys doesn't look so bad!!

Hey Crafty Happy Birthday young fella !!!! I never realized it, but our birthdays are 3 days apart ( mine being after yours , oh wise one ) Have Iron Mike come by and plow you out before he goes down the street and gets plowed himself If he's lucky he will be tired from plowing all night and fall asleep before the end of the game ,cuz he's gonna be suicidal when the Pats win! Have a good one Crafty

Went on a drive down to Pt. Judith light, at least 35 mph winds, roughly 4" of snow, snow drifts up to six feet tall. It's friggen nuts out there.

Damn, just looked out the front door and it looks like McMurdo Sound out there on Thames St - it sorta reminds me of the blizzard scene in 'McCabe and Mrs Miller' - conservatively it looks like a good foot of powder already.
And I just heard they clocked a 77 MPH gust at the Buzzards Bay Tower - this ain't gonna be pretty...
Hey, Pt Jude Joe - Happy Birthday! I had no idea - I thought it was in December around Mrs Crafty's - you know, I think my traditional spin around the Drive is probably gonna take a little longer than usual tomorrow...

Hows your guys yards looking? Im buried here in gansett. My roomates car is buried in a drift . Dog wasnt too happy this am when he had to go in the back yard and pinch a loaf in 5 foot drifts . I lost sight of him under the snow for a few minutes. Gonna venture out into the mess and take some pix in a minute.

!!!!!
We got rocked last night at the Bugaboo...By the time we got out of work, it was 10:30, and I felt bad for the other kitchen manager who lives 50 miles away...I asked if he wanted to stay at my place overnight, and it was a good idea.
Just pulled him out of the driveway with the truck, Waltham has like 2.5' right now.
Only seen snow like this once, and it's still going like crazy!!!
Thank God me the off today!!!
Later,
Rick

Here in Exeter wqe have about 2 feet on the ground and its still snowing to beat the band. At least I got out of having to work today. Hopefully they'll cancel tomorrow as well. The Governor has declared a state of emergency. Schools & Goverment offices will be closed and he's asking all private business to close as well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
